We live in increasingly uncertain times. Since the start of the year, we can add trade and tariff wars to the long list of challenges garment workers are organising to face head on. We know that the climate emergency is a reality in production countries, and it is changing who works in garment factories, how and where they work.
Technological solutions are so far falling short from ensuring the basis of a sustainable approach to ‘greening’ the fashion industry – a just transition putting workers first. But together we can change that.
Also in this Action Update, we have good news to share with you, activities to report on and an ask to mark September down as the month we commit to living wages.
